Hard to Build Homes on Broken Hearts
Try and picture this…
Radioactive material and buried deep underground. Then years later, a tree is planted and grows there. The tree “looks” okay but there is something dangerously off about it. The tree is toxic. But you won’t be able to tell until you try and build your home with it.
And this is true for us men when we don’t confront the past hurts, wounds and demons we’ve buried deep within our souls. Let God be the Good Gardener and uproot what’s killing us
"I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh."
Stop searching. You’ve already been made complete in Christ. No relationship, career, possession or person will ever give you purpose or definition.
Your search is over.
My homie showed me this line is now getting reposted by some Hollywood folk. That’s pretty cool.
It’s hard to walk with God, when you’re leaning on emotional crutches
There is beauty in your brokenness
My thrift store blazer. Brooks Brothers $7
I’ve definitely slimmed down since then
"But here is the good part. You ready for it? Here it goes…
“Your heart will heal. It will grow stronger. You will be wiser. You won’t let yourself get caught up in a one sided relationship again. You will be free. You will regain a new sense of life again. You will know what you want. You will go after you want. You will get rid of what you don’t want. You will go out. You will enjoy your life. You will meet a new guy and he will show you off to the world. But you won’t need him either because you will know that your true happiness stems from the inside out, not the outside in.””

The bridge between my desires and my current reality is built on my ability to be patient.
Have you ever looked up into the sky and said “God, I really hope you know what you’re doing because I sure as heck don’t”
I seem to be doing that more than usual
To All My Homies On Their Fitness Journey
If you adopt a fit lifestyle, don’t start judging others who don’t. if anything, let your life and journey inspire them.
Doesnt that sound familiar? Like our lives in Christ? Ever judged someone harshly and thought you were better than them who was struggling? I’ll admit that I have and I was very wrong for it. But we have the opportunity to be better than that
So lets be. Lets be better
Finally attempted to make my Lemon Water. Seems simple right? Not if you want that real kick in the mouth!
I also tossed in a green tea bag so I can seem like I know what I’m talking about. (Seems like wise people drink green tea)
Im going to let it sit for a while then try it when I come home. I’m hoping it packs that punch I’m looking for.
